Client information

Choosing the right support
for your needs.

PSYCH-K® facilitation and mentoring support personal growth and wellbeing. Some situations need urgent or specialist care first. The boundaries below apply to discovery calls and sessions.

Therapy for the Soul offers PSYCH-K® facilitation and mentoring for personal growth and wellbeing. This service does not diagnose or treat medical or mental-health conditions and does not replace care from a doctor, psychiatrist or qualified mental-health professional.

This is not a crisis or emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999 or go to A&E. In England, for urgent mental-health help, call NHS 111 and select the mental health option. Outside England, contact your local crisis service or emergency number. Do not wait for a discovery call or a reply from Dan.

A calm, clear approach

When to seek other support first.

01

Crisis or suicidal thoughts

Seek urgent professional support first. Facilitation and mentoring are not suitable for managing a mental-health crisis, suicidal thoughts or immediate risk of harm.

02

Psychosis or acute mania

Current psychosis or acute mania needs assessment and care from an appropriate medical or mental-health team. Sessions should be deferred while urgent specialist care is needed.

03

Severe withdrawal risk

Possible severe alcohol or drug withdrawal needs medical assessment and, where appropriate, supervised care. This service does not provide detoxification or withdrawal management.

04

Safeguarding concerns

Concerns about abuse, neglect, exploitation or someone’s safety may require safeguarding services, social care, police or emergency help. Dan may pause sessions and share necessary information with appropriate services to help protect someone from harm.

05

Needs outside Dan’s competence

If your needs fall outside Dan’s training, experience or the scope of this service, he will explain the limit and signpost you to a suitably qualified professional. A discovery call is a suitability conversation, not a clinical assessment.
